Mum is in the kitchen, Dad is on the computer, Grandma is chatting with her friends. All of them don't have time for Kake Makei, so what can she do? After all, she is bored. And anyway... where does family time go? Maybe they have been bewitched by an evil wizard? Maybe time was swallowed by a terribly hungry dragon? Or maybe robbers came to the house and bagged up all the time?

Winnie-the-Pooh is determined to get back the time stolen from her parents and grandmother. She knows what to do, after all - she has read a lot of books, taken wisdom and imagination from them.

Kakei Makei will succeed, and there's never a dull moment when you have a task like this!

"This book is a snapshot of the scarcity of time through the eyes of a child. It is a wonderful illustration of what goes on in a child's mind when adults are caught up in their own work, trying to concentrate and free themselves from it."

"Winnie the Pooh and Stolen Time":

- enrich vocabulary;

- develops emotional intelligence and imagination;

- highlights the benefits of reading books;

- teaches you to look at what adults are doing, where and why time disappears;

- teaches you to use your creativity to solve a variety of tasks;

- encourages them to understand that household and other adult chores are important and necessary, but that there is also time for play and to be together.

What do parents say about the book?

"This book, I think, is not so much for the child as for the parents to understand where that time disappears to. Nowadays we are in a hurry, doing everything quickly or leaving everything for 'after'. Adults are used to putting things off: not now, but later, when I have done this and that. Children behave differently: if they want to eat, they want to eat now; if they want to play, they play now; if they want to go out, they want to go out now. I think we need to be children more often and spend more time with children."

Mama Ugne

The Kaki Makė picture books are a hugely popular series of books about a five-year-old girl enjoying her childhood and trying to explore the world around her! And as she explores it, she finds herself in all kinds of situations and experiences fear, jealousy, anger and laziness. The unexpected stories, told through a wealth of unique illustrations, do not moralise, but help to spark the child's imagination and encourage her to find the right answer.
